Giveaways: A Superhero Necklace, Prayer Beads + A One-Way Ticket to Mondo Beyondo

Winners:

Emma James wins the Superhero necklace for her honest post at, "Pleasure Notes."

Jessica Hampson wins the mala beads with her post on a tough year, "2009, You Were My Challenge."

Anna-Marie Still wins the place in Mondo Beyondo with her lovely catchup post at, "Evoking Art Everyday."

Congratulations, all, on your posts - let's keep rocking the writing until the end of 2009.

-

Yesterday we passed 500 participants signed up for The Best of 2009 Blog Challenge. That's a lot of us, right?

A few of you have asked if you can help. You can. Here's how!

Today's prompt is "Challenge: Something that really made you grow this year. That made you go to your edge and then some. What made it the best challenge of the year for you?" And in honor of a challenge you have overcome this year, we have three beautiful treasures you have the chance to win.

A giveaway. Times three.

Behind door one (please, someone, cue the Vanna White ding! I'll break out the pageant gowns.)

A lovely necklace from Superhero Designs. That's right. You know her. (If you don't, start now by reading about her 2009 moment of peace.) She's the mega-inspirational Andrea Scher that I spent one stellar hour with earlier this year. Superhero Designs is giving away this Bullseye Pendant to one lucky winner today. That's right, and it says Superhero on the back.

Write about the challenge you had this year that made you grow, as today's prompt suggests. More details on how to win at the bottom of this post (necklace valued at $39.)

Behind door number two.  A moment of peace.

Luminous Heart (a fellow blog challenge participant) has just written a piece on Why the Holidays Hurt and is offering this set of prayer beads. We haven't met in person yet, but you will feel like you know her after spending a few hours with her here. Read all about what the beads mean. If you wrote on your Moment of Peace yesterday, you're eligible to win. (beads valued at $97.)

And three.

Mondo Beyondo. Two of the most exceptional women I know, Jen Lemen and Andrea Scher, teamed up this year to start offering an online course in dreaming big.

And one of you will be joining them to start the course in the New Year. The course starts January 11, 2010. And your only requirement to join is "being willing to dream."

There are secret missions, interviews with remarkable people and things going on behind the scenes that will rock you to your core. (Valued at $99.)

How to Enter to Win

1. To enter, leave a comment on this post

2. On your own blog, post about a challenge you have overcome this year (or one you'd like to overcome next year, or however you want to run with the topic).

I'll announce the three winners at the end of today - 9 December, 2009. You have 24 hours in which to claim your loot. Remember, if you tweet, tag it #best09.

Happy blogging!

(Some of you have asked to help out with the challenge. Thank you for your offer. Here's how you can help.)

Wow, 500 people!! That is amazing. This challenge has been great so far. Taking the time to reflect on the past year has been fun. You should win a prize for heading this up, such a great idea!!

what a great set of giveaways! i've been eyeing that Mondo Beyondo class for a few months now, and while I knew I wouldn't be able to afford it in January, I was hoping to be able to participate later in the year. Now I might be able to do it earlier. How fun!

I'll also be posting my "most challenging moment" later in the day.

This challenge has been the perfect kickstart for me after three years of not blogging at all. I have discovered so many new bloggers and each and every one is inspiration. Thank you Gwen for reinvigorating a part of me I thought was long gone.

I'm really struggling writing today's post. But I trust in knowing that there's a lesson in all this for me. So thanks Gwen. Honestly.

What a great motivator to participate. I actually found you through the Superhero Journal post yesterday, so I guess the universe is telling me I best get to it. Will post on challenge and tweet about it later today.

Thanks for putting this giveaway together. I just wrote about my challenge, but plan to post it later today. I enjoyed writing it; while I think about this challenge often, I haven't done much writing about it. I'm enjoying this month-long adventure.

There is so much generosity here, Gwen. In your creating of Best09, (and your reading until the wee hours,) and in the extraordinary inspiration of the 500+ bloggers.

What fun to be part of this snowball of giveaways.

Thank you for your lovely kind words. I look forward to the day we meet fact to face. But there really is no distance between hearts. You're an incredible champion of that truth.

...off to finish my Moment of Peace and get started on Challenge.

Much love,
Mahala

This challenge has been great during a time where I needed some reflection, and also some prompts for the blog. Thanks for hosting this. It's been such a blast. I posted my challenge blog here: http://whatagrandworld.blogspot.com/2009/12/best-of-2009-challenge.html

I'm struggling with this one too, but am going to dive in this afternoon. This cold, raw, rainy afternoon that is a challenge to my spirits already.
I also wanted to say I took Mondo Beyondo this fall and it was great. Outstanding. I can't recommend it highly enough and am glad you are too!!

Last year was all a challenge and because of that I chose to do a 40/40 challenge starting in September - choosing my challenges seemed more engaging. And thank you for this #best09 it has helped focus my writing during a busy month. Cheers to you and all you do! - Jacqueline

Thanks for organizing the giveaway! I'm so in on this one -- I've been eyeing that Mondo Beyondo course for awhile now, wondering when and if I should enroll.

My (humbling) challenge all year long has been speaking another language:

Sweet meat! I'm glad to be a part of the 500 people participating in this blog challenge! As for my challenge of the year.....stay tuned!

December 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommentershansPLC

Ok, now I have to get busy writing a post.

December 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSuebob

Love Andrea & just blogged some thoughts about Mondo Beyondo yesterday! Would love a spot in the Jan class!

December 9, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnna-Marie Still

This question is kicking my butt, but I've committed to meeting the challenge by end of day. In the meantime, I just wanted to say it's crazy-amazing-cool that you are adding prizes to this movement, cause everyone loves prizes, but every day so far - answering the questions and reading the brilliant posts of others - has already given me such a plethora of heart-shaped prizes that I already feel like I've hit the jackpot. (not that I wouldn't be extra excited to be gifted any of the above - very well selected, chica!)
