Are you hungry? A Little Green Gringo + Some Hot Printer Action
Now I've gotta give a shout out to HP because I use their product and they've paid me for it. Full legal disclaimer at bottom.
"We're going to have a film crew come to your place to shoot," Kyle was saying as I took notes on my laptop.
"Oh, you mean you have a crew in Boulder or Denver you're sending over?" I asked.
"No, I mean, I'll be flying in from LA," he responded.
I started laughing. This was shaping up into a fun time. I was excited. That is until Kyle brought down the hammer with, "so, we need to plan for how you're going to use the printer - and I think I've got an idea. Coupons.
"Coupons? I thought. "Coupons," I said, trying to keep my voice evenly optimistic. "Yes, everyone uses coupons!" Kyle said.
I wasn't trying to be harsh but I told him it would be unrealistic for me to use the printer to print a coupon. I'm not a coupon type. We would have to come up with another plan. At which point he asked if I'd be up for an adventure (maybe he was holding out on me) and I said, "you're on. See you at my place in Boulder next week."
I decided to join in on this campaign for several reasons. The first, if it was coming from HP it would be a quality product (it is). The second, incorporating more video into my online offering (it does). The third, promoting folks like The Green Gringo - and local designer friend Jeffrey Larrimore who had no idea what he was getting himself into but trusted me enough to sign on (three way win).
It was a fun day. And the printer's slick - go play around with one.
Also, Boulder/Denver, keep your eyes on the road for The Green Gringo. The butternut squash soup is blazin' good.
Thanks, JLarri, Gringo guys, Kyle-n-crew and HP. Rock.

Love all the wins. It's one of the upshots of being able to take larger perspectives, and embrace larger vistas, y'know? (Just thinking of all the people in the world - many of them here in Boulder - who bash capitalism - all capitalism.) Yes. Bad capitalism sucks. But good capitalism is...good! Good products...good! Spotlighting folks doing good work? Good! Good butternut squash soup? Good!
OK, sure great printer. Pretty cool Google Maps and all, but the tats you printed up on Larrimore are pretty impressive :)
Bill maybe one day you'll have the good fortune of finding out about Larrimore's secret tattoo on his index finger
wow, Gwen that printer looks awesome. And I love the look of that Gourmet food truck. May have to come to Boulder to check it out!
Nice! It looks great. You look fantastic, too.
This is fun. No need to be apologetic!

Very nice Gwen.
That was so you too.
Fun experience, looks good.
Now I'm even MORE excited to move out there! I experienced my first food truck adventure in LA (and actually, wrote about it as my Best Restaurant '09!) and LOVE the concept and will definitely be on the lookout for this one :)
