Pitch Practice: Schedule a Session

Pitch practice: the paid version

Get instant feedback on how to refine your pitch. This is an experiment, in part, to test Square. (I'm a beta tester.) Sometimes you just need a one-shot advisory board of one. For a few minutes, I'll be your advisory board of one.

Your pitch could always be better. I'm skilled at listening and training folks to better explain the work they're doing. (Which typically leads to more sales. Or at least more pleasant conversations.)

I'm offering an introductory rate of $5/minute* for you to practice your pitch with me. Here's how it works:

1. You pitch me

2. I listen carefully to you. Then, I rank your pitch on five factors

3. I give you specific, actionable feedback on your pitch

4. You pitch again based on feedback

Let's get started:

1. Schedule a pitch session now. (Choose multiple times/dates for maximum results. 15 minute minimum, 30 minute maximum.)

2. I'll receive an email (when I check it at 2) after you choose your times - once I cross-check my calendar to your choices, you'll get confirmation of our meeting.

3. After you get schedule confirmation, pre-pay the amount of time you'd like (unless you're local, and we'll Square up in person) to gwen at gwenbell.com.

Finally, and this is important: if you miss your scheduled time, have to reschedule or cancel, you won't receive a refund. You will only receive a refund if I cancel on you - very unlikely to happen. Let me repeat: you miss your meeting, I keep your dollar bills.

The experiment ends the last day of April, 2010. The hours of availability are 12-4 MST Monday through Thursday. For my mental health and to be of maximum service to all clients with whom I work, I've limited the number of pitch practice sessions to 50.

One final note: I bill per project - this is an experiment and as such is only applicable to a one-time pitch practice.

Pitch practice: the free version

Starting this Friday (March 26) I'll be holding weekly office hours from 3:30-5. My office, an hour and a half, no pre-scheduling required.

This is the only free version of pitch refinement I'll be offering, so take advantage. Come with all your questions and... you know... pick my brain. (This offer is only for those in Boulder or willing to travel to Boulder - no Skypes, gomen!)

About the Pitch Practice Project

I love helping folks refine their message. Square was kind enough to let me try them out as a beta tester. I see this as a triple-win. New technology, new connections, new ideas. I look forward to meeting you this month and next. When all the slots are full, I'll update this page to let you know.

Current number of sessions available: 48/50

*with a 15 minute minimum, 30 minute max. You're doing the math and yes, it'd be $300 an hour and that's not my hourly rate. I don't have an hourly rate - I bill per project (shall we work on one together?) This rate is for pitch practice only - and it's a one-time experimental deal. Rock it while it lasts.
