Week 5: Appreciations for 5 of Boulder’s Emerging Leaders

This past week I met with some of Boulder’s local leaders. Rather than keeping them (and their incredible work) all to myself, thought I’d share with you how much I appreciate them. This is week five in my ongoing Appreciation Project.

42. CC Pelmas

CC, thank you for being such an inspiration! You come into the room bringing love, energy, passion. Although our relationship has only begun, I trust that the potential within it cannot be underestimated. Thank you for being a champion for the feminine and for women’s stories.

43. Ryan Oelke

Things Take a Turn for the Worse

Ryan. You inspire me constantly. The way you’re able to reinvent yourself, to encourage others on the path, to question it all. Your love for all that’s good shines through in your work. It’s an honor to be your friend. Happy 30th!

44. Marco Lam

Marco, fellow Leo, thank you. You can’t possibly know the impact you’ve made in such a short time on my life; on the lives of those around you. Every time we meet, we greet with a hug. I hope for more business to be conducted this way around the globe in the future.

45. Matt Galligan

Matt, thanks for keeping it real. You’re a true friend to those who know you and a leader to those in your inner circle. Thanks for having the courage to trust, for building and taking a leap…all while simultaneously texting.

46. Kate Crisp

Kate, a chance encounter in the grocery store put us back in touch. Thank you for teaching me the foundation of how to communicate nonviolently, for sharing your wisdom, for challenging us to keep growing. I am blessed to know you.

Readers, if you decide to do your own appreciations (and I hope you will) please let me know in the comments or via email. I think the company we keep is a direct reflection of who we are. These are pieces of my life, pieces of my weeks and months and years on Earth, with the people I love and appareciate. Thank you for taking the time to discover more about the people and projects that matter in my life. May their stories shine light on your own.
