I am a Meet Machine.
I’ve been back in Boulder two weeks and each day is brimming with work I love, conversations with people I adore and questions to answer. One of those questions folks have asked is what exactly it is that I do each day and this post seeks to answer that question. In short, I’m doing my work in the world, practicing living to my fullest potential and producing a lot of content. For the long answer, read on.
Today’s a Monday so there’s a lot on my schedule. I’ll lead Laptop Yoga (read: yoga for geeks) this morning from 10-10:20. Then I’m headed up to campus where students start classes today following winter break. I’m meeting with Stephanie Wanek of the ATLAS Institute. ATLAS programs are “centered on an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the issues of ICT across a broad spectrum of communities and interests.” I’ll meet with Stephanie to talk about women in tech, tour the building and get some video footage with her talking about the work they’re doing at ATLAS.
Lunch this afternoon is with Joel Longtine of the Social Thing team. They’re working on the site about two feet from where I sit right now. Humming along.
Later in the day I have a meeting with Jason Mendelson. He initiated Boulder’s Open Coffee Club. We’ll be discussing the local tech scene in Boulder, what BOCC is looking like for 2008 and his own experiences working with startups. That content will later evolve into a blog post for the Colorado Startups blog.
That may be my final official meeting of the day, but the evening will probably prove to be equally as exciting as the day, if the past two weeks are any indication. When I’m not in meetings, I’ll be providing a few folks with feedback on their projects, taking photos and organizing my digital life to ensure I’m as productive as possible.
That’s what my days are like. I couldn’t be more stoked. If you’re not in Boulder, where the hell are you?
