Get Out Your Headphones, this is an Audio Update

Met a tremendous group of inspiring people this weekend at SW Chapel Hill. Could not have been more thrilled with the turn out, level of integrity of the participants and quality of the work created. I am resting up for a more extensive update, but in the meantime:

We built Workperch which is intended to connect folks looking for a space to work (artists, entrepreneurs, mobile professionals) with a temporary office space or desk in their community. The site is currently in private beta and looking good!

You can read up on the weekend itself, or the project blog, for more details.

Startup Weekend Interviews

The following are brief (1 minute per person) interviews conducted over the weekend in Chapel Hill. I asked participants to talk about their experience with the weekend and many people gave insightful thoughts and feedback.

Buddhist Geeks: Final Interview

This week marks my final podcast with Buddhist Geeks. I was with the Geeks for nearly a year and learned a lot, conducted numerous interviews with some of the best teachers in the field and grew as an interviewer as a result of working with a wide range of interviewees.

It was an honor and challenge. I couldn’t be more happy that this final segment was a discussion with Sharon Salzberg, the first (and so far only) female teacher featured on the site. May there be many more in the future.

Zen Is Stupid: Impermanence

One final listening opportunity comes from Zen is Stupid, and this week we’re talking about entrepreneurship, our experience as English teachers in Japan (including the recent bankruptcy of the company we went to Japan with) and impermanence. If there’s any Zen in it, you’ll have to dig pretty deep to find it.
